I considered this question many years ago in the U.S. Adding the cost of the welder to the charges for an electrician to run a 50 amp breaker, the decision was easy – Miller Bobcat gas engine drive. 8KW generator and 200 amp welding at 100% duty cycle. I am a hobby welder, so the 1 gallon of gasoline per hour of runtime is not a significant expense. AC/DC CC and CV though I never purchased a spoolgun. The weight is 500 pounds so it easily fits in the back of a light truck,
If you still decide to go with a breaker, buy a generator extension cord that is cheaper than purchasing welding leads.
